Based on the TurboStor Architecture, the Oceanspace S6800T is designed for virtualized environments and cloud applications. In the new cloud-centric data center performance, data protection, systems access and storage mobility must be delivered in multiple dimensions. Huawei Symantec’s S6800T enterprise storage system enables IT to run the most demanding Oracle, SAP, Cloud and mission-critical applications to maximize revenue transitions and lower operational costs. Cloud Scale Performance
• TurboStor I/O Engine - The S6800T engine is built around 2 x Xeon quad-core clustered processor modules that provide the IOP power, cloud data bandwidth, high-performance data caches, and a total internal bandwidth of 36GB/s.
• TurboModule I/O Flexibility - The S6800T supports 12 I/O modules with 48 I/O bi-directional ports that enable Huawei Symantec storage systems to adjust I/O between front-end host connectivity and back-end storage modules, maximizing ROI, performance and SLAs.
• TurboBoost SSD I/O Performance - Every application has a specific set of requirements and SLAs that must be met. The S6800T provides three classes of SSD optimization that enable IT managers to tune solutions for maximum IOPs to support concurrency of user requests, data base indexing, and maximum bandwidth delivery.
• SmartCache Dynamic I/O Optimization - SmartCache supports up to 192Gb of cache to dynamic monitoring technology to control hotspots in HDD storage, and automatically migrates and caches on SSD to optimize application performance and better meet SLAs.
Virtual Storage Mobility
• Virtual I/O Consolidation - The TurboModule technology can significantly increase the density of I/O modules and ports in a single enclosure, and provide a flexible number proportioning and slots layout of front-end and back-end I/O modules.
• Maximize VM Density - The S6800T is designed to increase the number of VMs per storage system with its multi-dimensional tiered I/O architecture. SmartCache enables higher VM density per array by dynamically migrating I/O for the most accessed and mobile VMs.
• Multi-Fabric Host Connectivity for VM Mobility - One of the keys to VM mobility is access to shared and common I/O to provide the same levels of performance, data protection and security. This requires a storage system that can support multiple host and fabric connectivity for SAN and NAS, Ethernet and Fibre Channel.

• Flexible Tiered Storage Strategy - Huawei Symantec knows that one size does not fit all in the storage world, and the S6800T enables IT managers to choose from a wide variety of I/O devices to meet any performance and cost or capacity need with support for NL-SAS, SATA and SSD devices.
• 2.8PB of Cloud Scale Capacity - The S6800T supports up to 1440 NL-SAS, SAS, SATA or SSD devices for up to 2.8 PB of storage. This type of capacity is required to support the most demanding applications and cloud deployments.

• Intelligent 16-Step Power and Cooling - One of the management features of the TurboScale Architecture is the ability to power manage many of the individual components to reduce overall cost. • Remote Management -Business is global and so are IT systems. ISM's remote management tools allow IT managers to control access, deploy configurations and set parameters across the globe. ISM remote manager will also enable key physical (Alarms, Flashing Lights) and logical management (smart phone, pagers, texting, email and online upgrades) tools to help IT managers diagnose and repair problems even when working across the globe.

• HyperCopy LUN Copy - One of the key tools for data management, systems migration and application mobility is a fast and efficient LUN copy application. HyperCopy is able to perform online copies so the LUN can be used during the copy process. It also supports throttling levels to enable the array to still meet SLAs during copy/migration projects.
• HyperMirror Synchronous & Asynchronous Remote Replication - HyperMirror provides two vital functions for IT managers. It enables multiple sites to share data for round-the-clock IT operations, and is a vital tool in preparing for disaster recovery scenarios. In Synchronous mode, HyperMirror is able to maintain an exact real-time copy of your storage data in a secure manner to remote locations. In Asynchronous mode, it produces cost-effective remote replication to meet recovery point objectives (RPO) of under 60 minutes. HyperMirror provides host independent synchronization and can be used across all OSs and applications.
* UltraPath Multi-Pathing Software - UltraPath is a powerful heterogeneous multi-pathing application that supports SAN host connectivity with Huawei Symantec storage systems. It enables IT managers to specify and select alternate paths for data in the event of a network failure. Residing on the host, UltraPath multi-pathing enhances SAN performance and application availability by eliminating network failures between the host and storage. UltraPath's multiple-pathing capabilities, automatic load balancing, and path failover functions provide complete path management.
• HostAgent Data Protection Manager - HostAgent Data Protection Manager provides a host-based application for managing, configuring snapshots and replication volumes. Based on policy, regulatory and compliance requirements older snap shots and replication volumes can be cleaned up and disk space recovered.
• DiskGuard Volume Manager - Huawei Symantec Oceanspace DiskGuard data backup software protects data and operating systems. DiskGuard provides comprehensive protection and quick recovery of data for various applications such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Informix, Sybase, and Exchange.
